The 2nd edition of the annual NATO Military Police Officer Course 2014 (MPOC-14) took place on 15 - 19 September 2014 on the JFTC premises in Bydgoszcz. 40 participants from 15 NATO and Partnership for Peace countries attended the MPOC-14, the main motto of which was “Interoperability” that aimed at strengthening the Military Police international synergy and operational capability.

on September 2014

Several lectures were conducted by 10 international guest speakers and full-time support was given by 7 international facilitators throughout the whole training event.
On 15 September, Brigadier General Wojciech Grabowski, the JFTC Commander, together with Colonel Grzegorz Wasielewski, the NATO MP COE Director, welcomed all participants. Afterwards,   the course was opened by Colonel Jaco Oussoren, the newly appointed ACO PMO.

Provided lectures helped the course participants to comprehend the NATO MP Doctrine, Cross-Cultural Awareness, MP experience, international legislation and the international developments within the worldwide MP family as well as differences in capabilities of various nations. Combination of presentations along with syndicate works gave the participants food for thought to share and develop their knowledge and experience thus helping one another “to learn by doing” and contributing to the importance of direct interactions among themselves in a multinational environment.

The course was to contribute in practice not only to the improvement of education and training among Military Police personnel, in particular in the area of operational force deployment and in-theatre interoperability, but also to foster multinational synergy and co-operation within and among the worldwide MP family.

After each training day, the participants provided their daily evaluations to the NATO MP COE Lessons Learned Branch. This feedback will result in developing an After-Action Report, which shall give guidance for further development and improvement of the course.

Furthermore, as consecutive courses are being developed by the NATO MP COE Education and Training Branch (MP Senior NCO Course, MP Senior Officer Course), from 2015 the current MPOC will be given a new name: MP Junior Officer Course (MPJOC).
