The annual charity ball organised by Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) took place in Bydgoszcz on 16 November, 2013.
Its initiator was a former JFTC Commander Maj. Gen. IB Bager (Denmark), but this yearÂ’s event was hosted by its present Commander Maj. Gen. Pavel Macko (Slovakia).
Apart from the noble intents motivating the party, the organizers aimed to integrate the international military community of Bydgoszcz.

Soldiers from numerous NATO countries honoured the ball with their presence. Officers of the NATO Military Police Centre of Excellence (NATO MP COE) attended the event for the second time. All participants were honourably committed to taking part in a charity lottery during which baskets, full of culinary specialties provided by representatives of invited countries, were drawn. The NATO MP COE among other ball guests preserved the tradition and donated its own basket. After being drawn, the treats were contributed to the auction, and gained funds were raised for charity.


Furthermore, the event included a number of attractions, such as: a ballet performance, a military band concert, a ballroom dance show followed by a dance competition. NATO MP COE representatives were addressed to at the official opening ceremony of the ball. Owing to the above-mentioned, the NATO MP COE has been recognised among other multinational military entities of Bydgoszcz, not only due to its everyday work, but as well with regard to its charity and social activity.
