The event was hosted by the German Military Police Command and held virtually from 22 June to 24 June 2021.
The MP Panel was conducted in conjunction with the virtual 44th Land Operations Working Group. The main focus was given to the Writing Teams work and community updates from the Allied Command Operations (ACO), Allied Command Transformation (ACT), NATO Stability Policing Centre of Excellence and the NATO Military Police Centre of Excellence.
At the meeting, all participants were involved in the syndicate work scheduled in four Writing Teams. The MP experts dealt with specific topics in a number of areas, such as:
- Military Police Doctrine – ATP 3.7.2,
- Stability Policing Doctrine – ATP 103,
- Lessons Identified/Lessons Learned from MP/gendarmerie-type forces engagements in countering COVID-19,
- Future Capabilities Development.
Two Writing Teams were led by the NATO MP COE members – Head of the Standardisation & Transformation Branch, LTC Jan ČERMÁK (CZE), and Head of the Lessons Learned Branch – LTC Łukasz WAGA (POL).
On the last day of the MP Panel, team leaders presented the final results of group deliberations followed by proposed way-ahead and recommendations as well as closing remarks.
