The NATO MP COE in cooperation with the Military Police Sector of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia has successfully conducted a webinar “Commanding Large MP Units at Wartime”.
The webinar was dedicated to commanding of MP units during wartime based on experience from the Homeland War in Croatia. It was delivered by the distinguished guest and speaker, the first Chief of the Croatian MP Directorate, LTG Mate LAUŠIĆ (HRV), ret., a Military Police officer with broad professional experience.
The intent of the event was to provide information and to raise awareness about significance of MP role during combat operations, as well as to introduce participants with practical experience in organising MP units, structures and their employments.
More than 90 participants attended the webinar, representing 22 NATO Member Countries and Partners, including military personnel from MP/Gendarmerie-type forces structures, NATO Command Structure, NATO Force Structure, multinational headquarters (e.g. HQ JFC Brunssum, HQ JFC Naples, MNC-NE, MND-C, NRDC-ITA, HQ Eurocorps), as well as Provost Marshals and MP Unit Commanders.
The event raised a significant interest among participants, established a very creative atmosphere, which resulted in an inspiring discussion with numerous questions.
